Mountaineering beginners course
You would like to go into the high mountains, but you do not feel confident nor do you possess the necessary skills. Maybe you feel intimidated by all the different techniques one needs to master.In a week-long course with a AIGMB guide you can learn all these skills safely. Our guides give emphasis on keeping the teaching methods simple and clear so all course members finish the week with a base of mountaineering techniques which one needs to know, if you wish to become self-sufficient in the mountains.
Program : When the basic skills have been learnt, after two days of instruction on rock and ice climbing, you will be ready to tackle your first real climbs in the mountains. Taking into account your tastes, your climbing possibilities, the weather forecast and your guide's advice.
Ex : Arête des Cosmiques, Tour Ronde, Mont Blanc du Tacul, Aiguille du Tour...
Dates : 5 days (monday to friday). Every week from mid-june until the end of september.
Price : 680 € per person.

Advanced course
Logical continuation after the beginner course.
Dates : 5 days (monday to friday). Every week from mid-june until the end of september.
Price : 830 € per person.

3 days course
The short version of the beginner and advanced course.
Dates : Every week from mid-june until the end of september.
Price : beginner 360 € per person, advanced 450 € per person.

Snow & ice course
You are especially drawn to snow and ice climbs. The early season appears to have especially good snow and ice conditions in the high mountains, be it either snow ridges, ice gullies or north faces. The AIGMB guides are keen to help you fulfil your ambitions. We run two levels of courses. A beginner's and an advanced course. Both courses are aimed to give maximum emphasis on confidence building and safety on mixed terrain.
Program : Ice and snow lessons, then climbs according to conditions at the time, your standard and your aspirations.
Examples for beginners: Petite Verte, Tour Ronde, Tête Blanche, Traversée Dômes de Miage ...
For advanced : Triangle du Tacul, Goulotte Chéré, Face Nord de Tour Ronde...
Dates : 5 days (from monday to saturday). Every week from beginning of june until mid-july, and according to condition and snowing up.
Price : Beginners (max 4 pers) 680 € per pers. Advanced (max. 3 pers) : 830 € per pers.

"Chamonix granite" rock climbing course
Climbing is a source of intense physical pleasure. This climbing course is for rock climbers, who wish to climb in the sun, leaving the rucksack at the base of the climb. Pleasure and lightness, for a program to be composed with your mountain guide depending on your climbing level. From beginners to experienced climbers. Lead climbing, placing natural protection (rock nuts) and rope work. This course is aimed at technique and safety.
Programme: After a first day on a rock cliff, with some rope work and a few abseils, you should be ready for a high mountain granite climb, of grade F, AD, D, or even TD. Example : Rébuffat à l'Aiguille du Midi, Vaucher au Peigne, Pilier Seigneur à Praz Torrent…
Dates : 5 days (from monday to saturday). Every week from mid-june until mid-july and from mid-august until the end of september.
Price : Beginners (D level french grade 5) : 680 € per pers. Advanced (TD level french grade 5+) 830 € per pers.

First 4000m course
Price : 795 € (3 pers; minimum) including cable cars, half board and 1 night in a refuge. Not included : lodging in Chamonix, drinks and personnal expenses.
5 days course for people who are not able to try the Mt-Blanc course. It is aniway necessary to be in good physical condition.
